Celebrating the success of the “Viv an Kreol” Film Competition (Festival Kreol) on Thursday 12th October organized by the Creative Seychelles Agency within the Seychelles National Institute for Culture, Heritage, and the Arts with the Seychelles Film Classification and Permit Office!

Amateur Category Winner: Mr. Emanuel Gobin with his film titled “Sesel Labote Natir Kiltir.”

Professional Category Winner: Mr. Johnny Volcere with his film titled “Viv an Kreol.”

Best Sound (Professional): Mr. Johnny Volcere.

Best Editing (Professional): Mr. Johnny Volcere.

Best Cinematography (Amateur): Mr. Eric d’Unienville.

Best Sound (Amateur): Mr. Eric d’Unienville.

Best Editing (Amateur): Mr. Eric d’Unienville.

Best Cinematography (Professional): Mr. Darius Revera.

Also, congratulations to all the other participants who received their well-deserved certificates for producing creative and talented films.

The panel of jury consisted of three international and two local jury members:

– Head of Jury: Dr. Didier Mauro, a professional cineaste from France.

– Mr. Gerard le chene, the President of the Vues’ d’Afrique Organization, Montreal.

– Ms. Samia Quinalo, Ambassador for the Femi Film Festival and the Caribbean Cinema Mission.

– Mr. Pat Matyot, Radio/ TV Journalist and producer.

– Mr. Raymond Clarisse, TV Director and Producer.

And Mr. Emmanuel D’Offay-Executive Director at Creative Seychelles Agency presented the certificates to Dr. Mauro, who accepted them on behalf of all judges.

Additionally, the Chairperson of the Seychelles Film Classification Board, Ms. Tessa Henderson, presented certificates of appreciation to the partners and sponsors:

– The Seychelles Broadcasting Cooperation.

– Deepam Cinema.

– Cable and Wireless Seychelles.

– Telesesel.

– H. Savy Insurance.

– ISPC

And Dr. Didier Mauro received the certificate on behalf of Ocean Television, Vues d’Afrique, Mission Cinema Caraibes, and International Kreol Magazine.
